About Us

We are a small marquetry studio, where wood is still inlaid by hand from veneers. To us marquetry is more than decoration: cut and laid by hand, the grain and colour of the wood make a picture that lasts for years. That is what our work is about.

We work by hand. Choosing the veneers, cutting each piece with a fine knife, fitting and laying them, finishing, step by step, with patience. It is exacting, absorbing work, and that is where the difference from a printed panel lies.

We design each piece to suit. The veneers, the design and the piece all matter. We advise and cut what suits you, honestly and without fuss.
